What a mistake! I had tried this location in Clemmons when it was Streetcars, but I wasn't blown away by their service. Then I discovered Magnum on Jonestown Road, and I have been a loyal customer there until today. I was going to get my car washed at Magnum yesterday, but it was closed by the time I got there. I live in Clemmons, and I thought I would give the new spot, McCleans, a shot. I got there about 9:15 this morning, and I was the only car. Since the sky was cloudy and it looked like rain, I attributed the lack of business to the weather. The guy was nice, and he told me it might take a while, since he was there alone. That was fine; I was prepared to wait anyway. I told him I was not as concerned about the exterior as I was the interior, and asked if the hatchback would be vacuumed. He said it would be. II purchased the wash that came to $16.99. By the time my car went through the mechanical wash part, another guy had shown up. In no time at all, the car was ready. I put my coffee cup in the cup holder, and took off for home. When I removed my coffee cup, I then noticed the cup holders had not been cleaned. Once I looked around, I saw how poorly the work had been done. The hatch area was not vacuumed well, nor were other areas in the car, and the inside was still dusty. I came home and redid the inside. It is hard to tell if the windshield was cleaned on the inside due to the weather, but next time I drive I am going to be sure to have my glass cleaner and cloth with me. I am not sure what I paid for that I couldn't have gotten at the BP automated car wash nearby. To boot, I tipped the two of them $5.00. Lesson learned, go to my tried and true location even if it isn't convenient.
Used this service several times. Several times paid for the Gold Wash. Definitely not great. Better than nothing, but that's about it. The last time I was there, the person sweeping out the car threw my Weather Tech floor mats, twirling them so they would go the distance to the person washing them. These floor mats are very expensive and shouldn't be thrown. My husband said something to the guy who was washing them off that they shouldn't throw them like that and the guy wouldn't even look up and acknowledge he was talking to him. The back of the SUV still had salt and dirt on it when finished and they didn't wipe down the door jams as stated in the Gold service. I will definitely try and find somewhere else to have my car washed or do it myself.
Clean my car very well. Excellent service. The new owner was very personable and helpful. He helped make my experience way better!! Definitely will be going back!
Mclain car wash is totally the best car wash they make sure it's clean as it gets inside and out. I have used many car washes but this one's great and the employees is great and care about business. I will not wash no place but Mclean.
